SYNOPSIS
A gardener tries to control his environment as he discovers a pulsing red plant. As it physically grows so does their connection, becoming his prized blooming obsession.

FABRICATION BREAKDOWN
Entire set was fabricated in our living room! We thank our roomates and apologize for the mess!

Hill base: made lightweight with wooden connective pieces for stability. Main base: 4 pieces (Box for house, large hill, main base, side base) Pull apart side piece for easy shooting. Bent wooden pathway fro tie downs. Beginning of large hill carving. Base Carving: Hang over elements to disguise connection pieces. Set Up of house and environment.


Gessoed Enviroment in progress. Setting up envrioment for camera with moveable background carved elements. 

Studio Set Up - It's me! Background, lights and sky in process Ladders brought in for sky and lighting set up. Only main base and house on boxes. Wide shot of studio with tension bar on ceiling for lighting.

Plaster mold with first layer of silicone. Hand wire armature construction. Prepped plaster mold. First layer of plaster on sculpted figure and clay.

Kolya’s fabrication focus was on base construction, armature construction, base carving, background hill and tree carving, clay molding, plaster casting, base painting, and garden prop construction.
